My 3 and 4 year old grandsons loved the book! I think they liked feeling like they now understood the idea of their teacher being "underneath the costume and makeup" and "not really different - just in a costume." They felt very grown up that they got it. Especially good as the Halloween season approaches and scary things start appearing, but we read it first in summer and they loved it then - definitely recommend the book.
The teacher in this story, Ms. Eddings, had a very creative Halloween surprise for the kids in her class--I won't spoil it! This book is rather short and simple, which is often a good thing when I want to read a story, but don't want to spend 20 minutes doing it. Halloween seems to have become the favorite holiday for American kids--I know it is for mine! This book is an easy-to-read and fun addition to the Halloween literature.
A delightful, clever tale, with cute and colorful illustrations. Certain to delight young minds. Perfect for little listeners or early readers.
